LASSO was founded in 1986 by graduates of the University of Stuttgart, at which Professor Argyris was involved in the development and creation of the finite element methods.
Fascinated by the potential ofcomputer-aided structural analyses, the founders developed software and gained experience that showed potential for industrial use. Analyses of non-linear problems became a major topic of significance.
The company´s main activities are to provide engineering service by developing and marketing cutting-edge technical software. LASSO distributes and supports the software systems ANSA and LARSTRAN.
